Chemical suppressor

The chemical suppressor is an anti-explosion device which, in the case of potentially explosive dust treatments (ATEX), is applied to bag filters, cyclones, pipes for pneumatic transport, etc. as these are all at risk of explosion.

Chemical suppressors detect the first indications of an explosion by means of special pressure sensors and, using a dry powder, suppress the explosion. This way the event remains confined within the exploding volume without developing in other parts of the system.
