Medium pressure centrifugal fan
The medium pressure fan is a machine which creates a flow of air suitable for the suction of dust, fumes, granules, sawdust, wood shavings and other airborne materials (with the exception of filaments and other materials that can cause hazardous tangles).
The fan is installed in lumber mills, mechanical engineering, flour mills, cement plants, ceramics factories, tanneries, foundries and any environment which requires the transport of harmful air with a maximum temperature of 90°C.
If the temperature of the fluid being transported is greater than 90°C and below 350°C,the machine is equipped with a fan heat shield mounted on the shaft, between the bracket and the impeller; the fan is also given a special coating for high temperatures.
Medium pressure centrifugal fans are particularly suited to:
- suction and filtration systems for powder, wood shavings, sawdust, etc.;
- waste treatment systems.
Medium pressure centrifugal fans may be constructed from the following materials:
- S235JR painted;
- AISI 304 STAINLESS STEEL;
- AISI 316 STAINLESS STEEL;
- WEATHERING STEEL;
- a POLYPROPYLENE casing and AISI 304 STAINLESS STEEL impeller, etc.
Upon request, greater thicknesses and anti-abrasion materials can be used in their construction. They can also be equipped with anti-vibration brackets for suction and delivery.
Where potentially explosive dust is present, the fans supplied fulfil the requirements of ATEX zone 21-22, category 2D / 2G – 3D / 3G.
