Venturi scrubber
The Mion Ventoltermica venturi scrubber allows dust with an extremely fine particle size present in a gas stream to be reduced by means of the wet abatement technology. The venturi scrubber is generally combined with a fixed-bed or floating-bed scrubber.
VENTURI SCRUBBER STAGE
The saturated air derives from:
- biocells;
- maturation areas for waste treatment;
- production processed which generate intense and unpleasant odours, etc.
it enters the venturi, whose central section narrows (slot) to enable the pressure to vary and allow solid pollutant particles to fall into the tank below.
Inside the venturi saturated air is humidified with the washing liquid (water or acidic reagents or suitable bases, depending on the characteristics of the pollutant), by means of the nozzles, obtaining excellent pre-abatement.
FIXED-BED SCRUBBER STAGE
Subsequently, the air is introduced into the fixed-bed or floating-bed scrubber through the reagent recirculation tank. Removal of the pollutants with this system takes place by dissolving them in washing liquid (generally water) which is then sprayed onto the fill bodies by means of spray nozzles. If the pollutants present have poor water-soluble properties, their removal from the air flow is carried out using suitable acid or base reagents (depending on the characteristics of the pollutant). As these reagent combine chemically with the pollutant to be removed, they allow the pollutant composite to fall onto the base of the scrubber.
